Background
The majority of my professional experience is in the field of education, specifically working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, however my interest in genealogy began when I was much younger. Though I began researching my family around age 11, long before the internet, I have been doing serious research online and offline since 2010. In 2020, I completed a Certificate of Genealogical Research from Boston University. During the pandemic, I created an online feature in conjunction with our local historical society. I have also provided local in-person genealogy workshops and conducted genealogical research for area nonprofits.

In conjunction with the Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society, we created a feature called Curbside Genealogy - take a look at the videos below!
Carol had heard that her father's family ". . . were prominent in Ohio. . .perhaps in the church?" but knew little else about where they lived or why they may have been prominent. Learn about her discovery of an ancestor who left a lasting legacy - good and bad.
Knowing only a name, an area where he may have lived, and a potential year of death in 1965, Linda barely knew who her grandfather was and what became of him. Learn more about her story and what she found out about the grandfather she never knew.
