This is a story 50 years in the making. Since being adopted from Vietnam I've always wondered who my biological parents were. What was their story. How did they meet. What did they look like. In 2005, I flew back to Vietnam in search for answers. When I arrived at the Catholic orphanage, I reconnected with many of the nuns who cared for me. It was very moving and helped thread the story line, but there was still something missing. I still didn't find out who my mother or father was. Fast forward 20 years, Christa started digging into the research and DNA and started to make connections. During her research she was able to make a direct connection to my biological father.
While I didn't get the opportunity to meet my biological parents, I did get the opportunity to find out more about my biological father and bring closure to that chapter that had been missing for so long. I am so grateful to have Christa bring this story to life for me, to put a face to an unknown soldier's name. I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity to open this story, learn about a piece of me that's been missing for so long.
